1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Hop TV app, published by Nicolas Saurel, a sole trader operating under the trade name appserre (see the legal notice). By installing and using Hop TV, you accept them.

2. A player, with no content

3. Access to the app

Hop TV runs on Android 7 or later: phones, tablets, Android TV and Fire TV devices. It has no ads and needs no account. Sync between devices works when they are on the same Wi-Fi network and the app is open; some networks (guest Wi-Fi, client isolation) may prevent it.

4. Trial, subscription and lifetime purchase

5. Right of withdrawal

For digital content supplied immediately, EU and French law provide that the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies once performance has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose this right (article L.221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code). The free trial lets you try the whole app, with your own source, before paying.

6. Parental control

Categories detected as adult-only are hidden by default and protected by a code. This detection depends on the category names used by your provider: it may be incomplete. Check the categories shown and hide any that are not suitable.

7. Liability

We do what is needed for Hop TV to play common formats properly and to work on the intended devices. Video quality and availability depend on your provider and your connection: we cannot guarantee them. We are not responsible for the content supplied by your source, nor for how you use it.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, in particular the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services.

8. Changes to the app and the terms

Hop TV evolves through updates. If a change significantly alters these terms, you will be told in the app before it applies.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its name, icon and texts belong to appserre. You have a personal, non-commercial right of use. Hop TV uses open-source libraries, whose list and licences are shown in the app (Settings, About).

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, please write to us first at info@appserre.fr: we will look for an amicable solution.

You may also use a consumer mediator free of charge; their details will be given on this page as soon as one is appointed. Failing agreement, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts.
